Dr. David Kerns serves as the PT Director at Advanced Medical & Wellness. He started his career in physical therapy over 20 years ago while working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic here in Ohio. David went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arizona School of Health Sciences and completed his doctorate research entitled “Low-Level Laser Therapy in Orthopedic Conditions of the Foot and Ankle”. Some of his clinical internships included Mayo Clinic and working alongside the Director of Rehab for US Tennis Team.
David has furthered his education to be one of the only therapist in the country to hold combined certifications in Dry Needling (Taught by Dr. Ma the founder of Integrative Dry Needling), Graston Technique® (completed M1 Training at Ohio State University), Myofascial Decompression (cuptherapy.com), advanced manual therapy training (Primal Reflex Relief, joint mobilizations, strain-counterstrain, myofasical release, trigger point therapy), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (through the NSCA), and has extensive training in Vestibular therapy / Balance disorders.
David was a collegiate track athlete and continues to enjoy staying active and working with patients to get them back to 100%. He also serves as a volunteer member of Greene County Council on Aging Wellness Committee and resides in the Beavercreek area with his wife Heather and their son Zane.
